This morning I went to the lake, called Hoan Kiem. It was very peaceful, the motorbikes were a distant hum. The hotelier said that five years ago most people were on bicycles. To play that forward, in 5 more years everyone will be carrying Blackberries or iPhones or worse, driving cars. Imagine what it sounded like 5 years ago? I have recordings of motorbikes and loud horns. Anyway, in this picture the ladies with the conical hats are trying to sell souvenirs of postcards or booklets or something to tourists.
